At the AEW Battle of the Belts XII event, a title eliminator match has been announced featuring an AEW World Champion and a potential contender.
During a backstage segment on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Mariah May expressed her curiosity about who might be left to challenge her for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Her question was soon addressed when Anna Jay made her entrance and immediately issued a challenge to May.
Later in the broadcast, it was confirmed that Mariah May would face Anna Jay in an eliminator match at the upcoming AEW Battle of the Belts special. Should Jay emerge victorious, she will earn a shot at the title.
Battle of the Belts is scheduled to air this Saturday following Collision. Both shows will be taped tomorrow, Thursday, October 17.
As of now, no additional matches have been announced for Battle of the Belts.
