Following her release from WWE on November 1, Tegan Nox (Nixon Newell) was scheduled to return to Cardiff, Wales, for ATTACK! Pro Wrestling’s ‘Under The Misteltour’ shows on December 14-15. However, ATTACK! later announced that Nox had been pulled from the events, expressing gratitude to WWE for their efforts to facilitate her appearance.
A new report from Fightful Select has shed more light on the situation. According to sources within the UK independent wrestling scene, there was a sense of disappointment following Nox’s removal from the scheduled dates. WWE and ATTACK! had been in discussions throughout the process to try to secure Nox’s availability.
Despite the unfortunate outcome, ATTACK! spoke positively about their interactions with WWE. However, it remains unclear if a WWE non-compete clause was the reason for the cancellation. After Nox’s release, it was reported that she would be subject to a typical 90-day non-compete clause for main roster talent.
While this could not be confirmed, Fightful Select was told that a “myriad of issues” could have contributed to Nox’s removal from the event. ATTACK! is now seeking a replacement for Nox for the dates in question and is among many promotions interested in working with the former WWE star once she is available.
