WWE star Jey Uso recently shared that one of the pinnacle moments of his career is also a source of embarrassment, particularly involving his cousin, Roman Reigns.
In an interview with METRO, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion described a significant highlight that he simultaneously finds amusing and mortifying.
Many wrestling fans cherish the now-iconic segment where Sami Zayn humorously noted that Jey Uso wasn’t “feeling very Ucey,” prompting Jey to break into an uncontrollable grin despite the gravity of the situation.
Roman Reigns added to the hilarity, making the moment even more memorable.
Reflecting on this classic segment, Jey Uso remarked:
“The Ucey segment was one of the most entertaining and enjoyable moments on TV, but it also ranks as the most embarrassing for me because I couldn’t stop laughing on camera.
“There were a few instances where I had to look away from the camera because I was grinning so widely.
“If you watch closely, Roman was definitely trying to tease me and make me laugh even more.
“In that segment, Sami Zayn and I had just finished a promo that could have stood on its own, and then it transformed into something else entirely.
“It shifted from a serious tone to something lighthearted. We evoked every emotion in that segment. It was just perfect! I don’t believe anything like that can ever be duplicated again.”
As the conversation continued, Uso highlighted that working alongside his brothers in that particular Bloodline storyline was arguably the most enjoyable experience of his wrestling career.
Although Jey Uso is currently flying solo on Monday Night Raw as the reigning Intercontinental Champion, his presence is still strongly felt on SmackDown.
