AEW WrestleDream 2024: Title Change Triggered by Unexpected Heel Turn

A significant heel turn resulted in a title change at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view held on October 12 in Tacoma, Washington.

One of the highlights of the event was a thrilling three-way match for the AEW International Championship, where Will Ospreay defended his title against both Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita. Ospreay, who had just claimed the championship from MJF at All In in London, faced an unexpected twist in his reign.

In a shocking turn of events, Ospreay was betrayed by Don Callis and, more notably, by his close friend Kyle Fletcher, who aided Takeshita in securing the victory. As a result, Takeshita emerged as the new AEW International Champion, marking his first title win in the organization.

Earlier in the evening, another title change occurred during the WrestleDream Zero Hour pre-show, where Brian Cage captured the ROH World Television Championship from Atlantis Jr.

The main event of the night features Bryan Danielson defending the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley, promising to deliver even more excitement to the action-packed card.
