Jon Moxley Opens Up About His AEW Takeover Post-Bryan Danielson Attack

To kick off tonight’s episode of Dynamite, Jon Moxley took the stage to discuss the dramatic conclusion of WrestleDream 2024, where Bryan Danielson was stretchered out of AEW.

Following that intense finish, the newly crowned AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, alongside his faction members—Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta—shared their thoughts while departing the Tacoma Dome in the back of a pickup truck.

Their comments were featured in a cinematic opening segment for tonight’s Dynamite, during which Jon Moxley stated:

“Let me clarify something. When things spiral out of control, someone must take responsibility. I am that someone. People believe they understand my motivations and who I am, but they truly have no idea.

“I envision a place of opportunity where individuals come to AEW to realize their fullest potential, where they can become the best versions of themselves. Wrestling has granted me everything I possess; I want that same chance for others. With 150 wrestlers on the roster, earning substantial paychecks yet feeling lost, what options do they have? Where can they turn?

“I detest what AEW has morphed into. Egos are running rampant. There are unnecessary celebrations, frivolous dancing, and partying when it’s unwarranted. I cannot tolerate it any longer.

“I will dismantle the existing order to cultivate something new. I’m not one for sentimentality; I will take the necessary actions to achieve our goals. We envision a brighter future, and we will bring it to fruition.

“If you wish to join us, you are welcome. If not, I advise you to flee while you still can. Step aside while you have the chance.

“What is it that needs clarification? For those within AEW, what is it that needs to be understood? What constitutes the new paradigm? It’s quite straightforward: you work for me now.”
